DeckerGreetings from the President: For more than 75 years, Decker Truck Line, Inc. (Decker) has taken great pride in the relationship which it has enjoyed with its employees and customers. From our humble beginnings in 1931 with a single Model B Ford, we have grown with our customers and are proud to be serving some of the same shippers today that we served in the early 1930's.

Decker was in business before the beginning of motor carrier regulation in 1935 and continued to prosper in the years that followed the decline in regulation in 1980. The secret of Decker's success has been achieved through continuous family ownership and management of the business, coupled with the mutual loyalty between Decker, its employees and its customers.

With our corporate office in Fort Dodge, Iowa, where the rural work ethic of pride and hard work are predominant, Decker attracts drivers, mechanics and office personnel who put forth that extra effort required of those who strive to be the best. We are very fortunate to have this caliber of personnel at all our terminals and facilities:  Davenport, Iowa; LeMars, Iowa; Mason City, Iowa; Mediapolis, Iowa; Fort Wayne, Indiana; Hammond, Indiana; Masury, Ohio; and Birmingham, Alabama.

Just as Decker adjusted to the coming of regulation in 1935, our company was also prepared to adjust to the new competitive world of the 80's, 90's and of course 2000. We realize that a company must be profitable to adequately maintain its equipment and facilities and to employ qualified personnel. It is our belief that a company that does not plan for the future will not have a future. It is for this reason that we regularly upgrade our equipment and facilities so the quality of service we render today will ensure our existence and our service tomorrow and in the years to come.

On behalf of the Decker family, I am pleased to have the opportunity of acquainting you with our company.

Sincerely,
Donald L. Decker
President
